About

I am a first-generation Cuban American painter. The images I create allow me to deeper investigate the politics of multi-cultural belonging and the world’s natural landscapes. I turn to every aspect of life for inspiration. Through years of practice, patience, and self-compassion, my art has allowed me to create spaces for artistic expression and build community.

I graduated from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2019 with a BFA in Painting and Scientific Illustration. I was the Artist in Residence at Rush Human Anatomy Lab in Chicago, IL and now I currently teach at Mainstreet Art Center.
